Pinellas County is a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides...
to the very right is Tampa Bay which separates Pinellas from Hillsborough County.

3 bridges connect the 2 counties over the Tampa Bay waterway for fast access to Tampa International Airport & Tampa

The most popular Beaches go from Clearwater Beach to St Pete Beach

From Clearwater Beach >
all the way down to Pass-A-Grille you can see a strip of land that runs the entire length.
On the left side is the Gulf of Mexico...
on the right is the intracoastal waterway...

The intracoastal has 3 outlets for boaters to get to the Gulf. One at Clearwater Sand Key, another at Johns Pass in Madeira Beach and one below Pass-A-Grille.

Many properties on the intracoastal have boat slips, some have views of the Gulf. Public access to the Beach from many is a short walk across Gulf Blvd. There are also many homes directly on the Gulf Beaches

Look to the right side of the Pinellas map>
The open water is called Tampa Bay.

Waterfront Real estate on that coast line has direct boating access to the Gulf of Mexico by going under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

The entire Pinellas peninsula is fully developed with all the amenities....like numerous shopping malls, theatres...restaurants etc.
